Editing. During the editing process, we work with the original text and the translated text in parallel in order to verify whether the text is adapted to its purpose in terms of style, coherence and semantics. Aspects such as comprehension, terminology used, format, possible omissions or additions, false meanings, calques, etc. are taken into account.
Proofreading. Proofreading is the last step before publishing a text and, during the process, we work independently with the final document. There are two types of proofreading: stylistic proofreading and typographical proofreading.
The first consists in correcting grammatical errors, increasing lexical richness and fluency, and adjusting the text to the rules and uses of the language, among others. The second consists in correcting spelling and punctuation errors, adjusting the spelling to the rules of the language and checking that the style guide or editor's criteria are followed.
Post-editing. Machine translation post-editing (MTPE) consists in the revision of a text after a machine translation. During this process, we also work with the original text in parallel with the translated text.
